BASIC PET CARE 101.  SATURDAY, May 24, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  If you would like to know

    more about basic pet care, this workshop is just for you.  Deb Simms will show you some basic pet

     massage and share with you “homemade” pet remedies to help with fleas and the little annoyances

     such as doggy breath.  Also, with the recent pet food scare, she will share with you information about

    pet foods you can make yourself.

 

MAKE YOUR OWN FAERY GARDEN.  SATURDAY, June 14, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $35.00.   We provide

    the container, miniature faery plants, soil, decorations and guidance to create your own faery garden

    to take home with you.  We’ll visit our lovely faery garden, talk about the faeries, sip faery tea and eat

    crumpets, and create an enchanting faery garden.  Kids of all ages love creating with the faeries.  You

    are welcome to bring a child(ren) with you (no extra cost) to help you create your garden.

 

BASICS OF DOWSING.  SATURDAY, June 28, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  Through the ancient art

    of Dowsing, learn different techniques to determine the best location for your garden, most beneficial

    natural fertilizers, planting arrangements, water sources, and more.  Linda Eckstein will be facilitating

    this fun and informative class.  Each person will receive their own set of dowsing rods for their use at

    home.

 

USING CULINARY HERBS.  SATURDAY, July 12, 200, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  Learn how to enhance

    every meal you prepare with the addition of fresh herbs.  Thyme is wonderful for stews and meats,

    Greek oregano seasons tomato sauces and meat dishes, add chives to potatoes, eggs and salads,

    chop feathery dill springs on fish, cucumbers and potatoes, just to name a few.  Chris Paxson will be

    demonstrating how to make herb butters, herb cream cheese spreads, and bouquet garni, in addition

   to using herbs in your everyday cooking.  We’ll have potted herbs for purchase so you can start your

    own kitchen garden, and each person will leave with fresh cuttings and delicious recipes to try at home.

 

NATURE SPIRITS/ELEMENTALS.  SATURDAY, July 26, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.   Nature is our

    greatest teacher, helper and healing resource.  From the plants we gain medicines, nutritional foods

    and beauty, from the trees we get fruit, natural resources, strength and oxygen, and the elementals

    teach and help us live consciously on this earth.  Sandy Henson will share her knowledge of the plant

    nature spirits/elementals and how they guide and assist us with our gardening and Deb Simms will

    show us how easy it is to connect with the tree spirits for guidance.  Each person will receive their own

    field guide journal to use on our closing walk through Treasures’  beautiful property to seek out nature

   and tree spirits/elementals.

 

ANIMAL/SPIRIT GUIDES, SATURDAY, August 9, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  Linda and Tom

    Eckstein will share with us the sheer beauty and power of animals and how they teach, guide and bring

    messages to us.  Spirit beings come in many forms, and you will learn to recognize them and the

    message that they provide for you every day.  When we are out of balance or life is unsettled around

    us, we can do no better for ourselves than seek out and embrace our guides.

 

NATURAL BEAUTY AND BODY CARE.  SATURDAY, August 23, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  Sandy

    Henson will be sharing which herbs to use to cleanse and moisturize our skin through facial steams,

   cleansers and masks, pull toxins from our body with foot baths, enrich your hair and make it shine, and

    protect your skin from environmental damage.  We’ll talk about making your own lotions and creams at

   home.  Come prepared to feel pampered!!  Go home feeling refreshed and with facial steam herbs to

   treat yourself in your own home “spa”.

 

AROMATHERAPY.  SATURDAY, Sept. 13, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  This class will cover the basics

   of using essential oils at home for your body, mind, and spirit.  Cathy Daniels will be sharing the safe use

    of pure essential oils for your family’s health care, emotional support, and household needs.  A wide

   variety of essential oils will be on hand to view/smell.  Fresh water with therapeutic-grade lemon oil will

    be on hand for sampling.  The history of essential oils, safety information as well as suggested uses will

    be provided to each participant.  Samples of lemon, peppermint, and lavender oils may be purchased.

 

MEDICINAL HERBS 101.  SATURDAY, Sept. 27, 2008, 10AM until Noon.  Cost $15.00.  Are you sick and tired of

    being sick and tired?  Pattie Powell and Sandy Henson will introduce you to some basic herbs that have

    been used for thousands of years to naturally bring your body back into balance so that you will feel alive

    and energetic.  We’ll discuss how our ancestors used these herbs and how herbalists today rely on them.  

    We’ll walk the gardens and visit the medicinal herbs and talk about making tinctures, teas, salves and

    poultices with them to enhance your mental and physical body.  You’ll leave with a better understanding

   of how you can become more responsible for your good health and well-being.

 

BIODYNAMIC COMPOSTING.  SATURDAY, October 4, 2008, 11AM until 3PM.  Cost $25.00.  Through the use of

    biodynamic preparations, used either as a foliar spray, directly sprayed on the soil, or in compost piles,

    the “life forces” of the earth and cosmos energize the soil and plants, helping the plants absorb more

    moisture and nutrients and ward off disease and insects and promote the micro-organisms in the soil and

    bring it to life again.  We’ll talk about biodynamics, compost tea, nature spirits, and our friends the bees,

    learn to dowse, and build a “dynamic” pile.  If you like “digging in the dirt” and eating delicious and

    nutritious foods, you’ll enjoy this class.
